So…are you going to apply to be the next The Apprentice?
As the final credits rolled after a particularly good series of The Apprentice my household toyed with the idea of applying for the next series. In the end, the unanimous reason not to apply was that we “wouldn’t want to work for one of Alan Sugars companies!”
And it seems we’re not the only ones who want businesses to do more that simply make money.
‘Biss Lancaster’ research asked 1,851 adults in the UK, US and France about their views on the future of the corporate brand.
The study showed that the public trust businesses less now than they ever have. They think the best Corporate brands all have a purpose beyond profit; treat employees well; protect and promote the greater good; think about the environment before, not after they have damaged it; and respect consumers’ power.
Pretty fantastic eh? We think so - as we want to help evolve what it mens to be ‘in business’ in everything we do. Starting with a ‘Tripple Bottom Line’ comprising of Social, Environmental and Economic considerations keeps us heading in the right direction!

Oh! I forgot to congratulate Lee for winning the show! He was my fave
I found it interesting that Lee back stabbed or criticised his fellow contenders less than all the others, and went on to win. Who says you have to be hard to survive in business?
That’s what I’m talking about! (Pleasantness)

Yes but then he wants to work for Alan Sugar.. unpleasantness! I really like like the sound of your triple bottom line, although I have been trying to get rid of mine for years.. if you have any ideas on how.. let me know.. but seriously - here is a thought.. if one is watching a flight formation from the ground.. and one sees that a plane has left the formation - bear in mind it is possible the formation is off course, and doesnt imply neccessarily that the solo flyer is on course, but it is nonetheless possible to leave the formation and find the true course, without upsetting the formation too much.. From where I am standing you guys are definitely heading the right way..

I have read your comment 4 times now Garth, and it gets more poetic and a tiny bit clearer every time! Lovely. And thank you. I think.
